The ORNL DAAC released 12 new data sets from the Boreal Ecosystem/Atmosphere Study (BOREAS) on December 17. This release brings the total number of published BOREAS data sets to 235.
The newest data sets contain remote sensing images, modeling results, and terrestrial ecology measurements.
BOREAS was an intensive remote-sensing and field study of a Canadian boreal forest. Investigators measured exchanges of energy, water, heat, carbon dioxide, and trace gases between the forest and the atmosphere from 1993 to 1996.
For further information about the study and for a full listing of BOREAS data sets, see the BOREAS home page maintained by the ORNL DAAC.
