BOREAS Follow-On Release

Submitted by ORNL DAAC Staff on

The ORNL DAAC announces the release of 26 data sets from the BOREAS (Boreal Ecosystem-Atmosphere Study) Follow-On project.

The data sets include flux and meteorological data from selected BOREAS field sites as well as derived surface products from modeling activities and remote-sensing data.

The original BOREAS project was a large-scale experiment to investigate interactions between the boreal forest biome and the atmosphere. Surface, airborne, and satellite-based observations were collected from 1993 through 1996 at sites in northwestern Canada to better understand ecosystem processes that may be sensitive to global change.

For further information about the BOREAS Follow-On project and associated data sets maintained by the ORNL DAAC, see the BOREAS Follow-On home page.
