The ORNL DAAC released 12 new data sets from the Boreal Ecosystem/Atmosphere Study (BOREAS) on January 27. This release brings the total number of published BOREAS data sets to 247.
The newest data are related to upper air fluxes and meteorology, remote sensing images, aircraft flight information, and tower flux data.
BOREAS was an intensive remote-sensing and field study of a Canadian boreal forest. Investigators measured exchanges of energy, water, heat, carbon dioxide, and trace gases between the forest and the atmosphere from 1993 to 1996.
