The ORNL DAAC is pleased to announce the release of Surface Water Elevation and Quality, Peace-Athabasca Delta, Canada, 2006-2007, prepared by Tamlin Pavelsky and Laurence Smith, University of California-Los Angeles.
This data set includes water surface elevation and water quality parameters measured at points throughout the large boreal wetland of the Peace-Athabasca Delta in northeastern Alberta, Canada during the summers of 2006 and 2007.
These data were collected to improve the understanding of hydrologic recharge processes in low-relief environments, and to provide ground-based measurements to validate satellite observations of inundation and sediment transport.
The ORNL DAAC is a NASA-funded data center archiving and distributing terrestrial ecology and biogeochemical dynamics data.
