The servers which host the MODIS Global Subsets tool and the MODIS Web Services have experienced hardware problems that have resulted in those tools being unavailable since August 9th. The popularity of the tools has meant a nearly constant heavy workload for the hardware, and our system administrators are taking advantage of the outage to relocate the tools onto faster and more robust resources. The anticipated date when the tools are expected to be available again is August 22nd.
