Six additional data sets prepared for the Southern African Regional Science Initiative ("SAFARI 2000") are now available on-line from the ORNL DAAC, along with their documentation. The data were earlier released on CD-ROM.
The data were extracted from global data sets for the bounding coordinates of southern Africa (5 W to 60 E and 5 N to 35 S). The extracted data sets contain climate data, Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) measurements of land cover, wetlands data, and a digital elevation model.
