A new user registration system will soon provide centralized user profile management and greater access for users.
In the next few months, the ORNL DAAC will upgrade its user login system to the NASA's Earthdata Login, an Earth Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS) centralized user profile management system. The Earthdata Login provides a centralized and simplified mechanism for user registration and profile management for all participating EOSDIS system components. Users may register and edit their profile information in one location allowing access to all participating EOSDIS data and services using only one User ID and Password. ORNL DAAC users with existing EOSDIS account profiles will be automatically migrated to use Earthdata Login. Non-registered users will be required to register with the Earthdata Login. Registration is free of charge. As always, you may use the ORNL DAAC website without logging in, but in order to download data, you will need to log in.
