On May 5, 2015, the ORNL DAAC transitioned to NASA's Earthdata Login.
The Earthdata Login provides a centralized and simplified mechanism for user registration and profile management for all participating EOSDIS system components. This new system allows users to register and edit their profile information in one location allowing access to all participating EOSDIS data and services using only one User ID and Password.

As always, you may use the ORNL DAAC website without logging in, but in order to download data, you will need to log in using Earthdata Login.
