ORNL Network Outage Update

Submitted by ORNL DAAC Staff on

All externally accessible ORNL servers, including the ORNL DAAC Web Site, http://daac.ornl.gov are experiencing network outages or slow connectivity at this time. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience during our down time.

At this time you can explore our Web site and access data products including MODIS Land Products Subsets, albeit slowly. However, the following Web sites and tools have been taken off the Internet and are not available:

  • Mercury (DAAC Simple Search and Advanced Product Search)
  • WebGIS
  • Spatial Data Access Tool (SDAT)
  • Thematic Real-time Environmental Distributed Data Services (THREDDS) Data Server (TDS)
  • MAST-DC
  • FLUXNET
  • Beija-flor (at ORNL)

You may experience problems signing-in or registering with our Web site. Our User Services Office is receiving email at uso@daac.ornl.gov, or via a form at the following URL: http://daac.ornl.gov/cgi-bin/email.pl.

If you need urgent assistance, please contact us at: +1 (865) 241-3952.

The ORNL Information Technology's Cyber Security Program is working to restore full external functionality for Oak Ridge National Laboratory servers. We expect that the ORNL's connectivity to the Web will be restored by April 29, and we will post updates on the ORNL DAAC Web Site.

Thank you for your continued patience as we attempt to work through the implications of this situation.
