The ORNL DAAC now offers seven additional data sets prepared for the Southern African Regional Science Initiative ("SAFARI 2000"). The data sets mainly pertain to soils but also include atmospheric and climate data.
The atmospheric data, collected by sunphotometer, constitute the first data set from the SAFARI 2000 field campaign itself. The soil and climate data were extracted from global data sets for the bounding coordinates of southern Africa (5 W to 60 E and 5 N to 35 S). All of the data sets are available on-line (http://www.daac.ornl.gov/S2K/safari.html).
