The Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) Distributed Active Archive Center (DAAC) funded by NASA is pleased to present the Summer 2011 issue of the ORNL DAAC Newsletter. This semiannual newsletter announces the release of 23 new data sets including SAR Subsets for Selected Field Sites, 2007-2010. Additionally an article announcing the availability of four Workshops at the 96th Annual Ecological Society of America Meeting on ecological data acquisition, use, and management, and NASA tools for ecology research, including MODIS and SAR remote sensing tools is provided.
