Dr. Yaxing Wei receives WDS Data Stewardship Award

Dr Yaxing Wei, a geospatial information scientist at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory Distributed Active Archive Center (ORNL DAAC), was recently selected by the World Data System Scientific Committee (WDS-SC) as the winner of the WDS Data Stewardship Award for 2015.

At the ORNL DAAC, Dr. Wei is responsible for curation of— and quality assurance for— Environmental Sciences data. He is also leading the research and development of interoperability and standards-based data analysis, visualization, and distribution for cyberinfrastructure in the centre.

Dr. Wei was recently presented with the award at SciDataCon 2016 and during his acceptance shared his presentation titled "My journey with data".
