Please join us at the 2021 Ecological Society of America: Vital Connections in Ecology Meeting, August 2-6, 2021.

If you are attending the the 2021 Ecological Society of America (ESA) Meeting this year, we invite you to attend WK: 27 - Synergistic Use of SAR and Lidar Data for Terrestrial Ecology Research on Friday August 6, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m PT.

This workshop will introduce new sources of global and regional remote sensing data from airborne and space-borne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and lidar observations, present data techniques for exploring these data; and showcase terrestrial ecology science applications that leverage them.

Synergistic Use of SAR and Lidar Data for Terrestrial Ecology Research is organized by ORNL DAAC's own Remote Sensing Scientist, Dr. Rupesh Shrestha. Co-organizers include: Dr. Sassan Saatchi of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Dr. John Armston of the University of Maryland, Dr. Franz Meyer of the Alaska Satellite Facility, and Dr. Yaxing Wei and Michele Thornton of the ORNL DAAC.
