The ORNL DAAC's User Working Group (UWG) is an external advisory group established by the Earth Observing System Data Information System (EOSDIS). This group assists in defining science goals, providing oversight and guidance on our activities and the development of value-added products, along with annual and long term planning.
At the recent meeting, our mission was described by one UWG member as “[The] DAAC’s job is to make scientists more efficient.”
The agenda included discussions and working groups on:
- Tools to find and visualize and analyze data
- Support for the ABoVE project
- Feedback on recent changes to the ORNL DAAC's website
- Positive reviews on the transparancy and ease of use of the ORNL DAAC's new SAuS system for submitting data to our archives.
