Dr. Michael Dietze is an Associate Professor at the Department of Earth and Environment at Boston University. His research interests are ecological forecasting, with a particular interest in integrating remotely-sensed environmental data into environmental models as a means of improving model forecasts and outputs. Dr. Dietze and his colleagues also are working on developing new ecological theories and statistical tools to better understand why certain ecological processes are more or less predictable.
