Distribution of Young Forests and Estimated Stand Age across Russia, 2012

This data set provides the distribution of young forests (<27 years of age) and their estimated stand ages across the full extent of Russia at 500-m resolution for the year 2012. The distribution of young forests was modeled with MODIS 500-m records for 12- to 27-year-old forests and augmented with the 0- to 11-year-old forest distribution as aggregated from 30 m resolution contemporary Landsat imagery.
