VEMAP-1 Database - The Vegetation/Ecosystem Modeling and Analysis Project (VEMAP) is an ongoing multiinstitutional, international effort addressing the response of biogeography and biogeochemistry to environmental variability in climate and other drivers in both space and time domains.

Another 18 study sites, plus a worldwide data set, have been added to the global terrestrial Net Primary Production (NPP) reference database.

A Global River discharge dataset, which contains monthly averaged discharge measurements for 1018 stations located throughout the world, is now available from the ORNL DAAC. The data were originally compiled by C. J. Vorosmarty and B.M.

Graphs of biomass dyanmics and climate data for grassland sites have been added to the global terrestrial Net Primary Production (NPP) reference database at the ORNL DAAC.

A web site is now available for the Land Validation project. It was created with the purpose of facilitating communication among MODIS Land Validation Principal Investigators and other interested parties.
